Hike Description: What better way to kick off the spring season than from the top of a Fire Tower?! This April, we’re heading back to Beacon, a favorite Hudson River town for anyone interested in a lively arts scene and easy access to some breathtaking views! We'll warm up quick as we ascend both North Beacon Mountain, and the South Beacon Mountain Fire Tower, which happens to be the highest of the Hudson Highlands. Up top (assuming the weather gods cooperate), we’ll see sweeping views of nearby Breakneck and Bull Hill, across the river to Storm King, and up to the Shawangunk Ridge and the Catskills. To round out the fun, we’ll walk alongside a Reservoir and enjoy the babbling sounds of a cascading stream while on the return down to town. Post hike, we can celebrate the day with some brews and/or snacks in town before catching the train back to Grand Central.
Each trip will run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 in order to ensure the health and safety of all guides and participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours ahead of trip, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements. Liability Waiver must be completed ahead of hike in order to participate.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the start of your trip, you will receive a full refund, less a 10% non-refundable administration fee. If you cancel between 24 hours and 14 days ahead, you will receive a 50% refund. Anything less than 24-hours is ineligible for refund, unless trip is canceled by Girl Gotta Hike, due to dangerous conditions or any other reason.
Most Girl Gotta Hike events are for those who identify as female. While we appreciate all encouraging and supportive souls as friends and partners, this one is just for the ladies. Custom Adventures and select events are open to everyone.
