Hike Description: Open views from high atop the Hudson River? Yes, please! For this point-to-point hike, we’ll be taking the scenic route up to and down from Anthony’s Nose, a 900-ft high peak that juts up dramatically from the river below, and which is reportedly named after a pre-Revolutionary sea captain's prominent proboscis. We’ll enjoy a woodsy walk on a section of the Appalachian Trail, catch some sweet views of the neighboring Bear Mountain State Park and Bridge, and keep enjoying those river views as we make our way south toward Peekskill. Once there, we can warm up and reward ourselves with food & drink before catching the train back to the city!
Each Public Transit Series trip will run with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 in order to ensure the health and safety of all guides and participants. If the minimum has not been met 24 hours ahead of trip, we will reach out and refund, reschedule or make alternate arrangements. Liability Waiver and COVID-19 Policy must be completed ahead of hike in order to participate. All hikes are rain or shine.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel 14 days or more prior to the start of your trip, you will receive a 100% refund. If you cancel between 24 hours and 14 days ahead, you will receive a 50% refund. Anything less than 24-hours is ineligible for refund, unless trip is cancelled by Girl Gotta Hike, due to dangerous conditions or any other reason.
Most Girl Gotta Hike events are for those who identify as female. While we appreciate all encouraging and supportive souls as friends and partners, this one is just for the ladies. Custom Adventures and select events are open to everyone.
