What: A Make-Your-Own Hiker Wallet Workshop + Holiday Gathering

Time: 1 PM - 4 PM

When: Saturday, December 7th, 2024

Estimated Sewing Time: about 3 hours

Price: $40 donation per person with all proceeds going to NYNJTC

Inclusive of: All sewing supplies and materials for one complete hiker wallet, sewing instruction from allmansright founders Jen & Livio, snacks and beverages, a seasonal celebration with your fellow Girl Gotta Hike friends, 15% off in-stock merchandise, and a dang good time!

Event Description: Allmansright founders Jennifer Jacobsson-Melo and Livio Melo are inspired by the Swedish tradition of allemansrätt, the right of everyone to freely roam and explore the outdoors — wherever nature takes them. They do so by creating outdoor gear with minimalist designs that anticipate your needs—whether you’re an expert outdoorsman on a five-day trek, or a weekend explorer roaming the woods.

On our visit to their Ultralight Gear Lab in Mott Haven, we’ll be making lightweight waterproof wallets — an essential item for any hiker, and a classic holiday gift for anyone on your list! Jen and Livio are committed to keeping their footprint on this earth small, so we’ll be utilizing the scrap material and off cuts they save from making their designs throughout the seasons to fabricate our wallets. Each wallet will be as unique as you want it to be!

But wait, there’s more! While crafting in their UL Gear Lab, you can snag 15% off any in-stock merchandise, including my favorite food bag of all time, the Björn! And we’ll get to eat, drink and be merry with our fellow Girl Gotta Hike friends!

All proceeds from the workshop will be donated to the New York New Jersey Trail Conference, the organization responsible for maintaining and protecting 99% of the terrain we traverse on throughout the year.

Cancellation Policy: This is a donation event, so we hope you don’t! But I know things happen, so if you cancel 14 days or more prior to the event, you will receive a full refund, less a 10% admin fee. If you cancel between 24 hours and 14 days ahead, you will receive a 50% refund. Anything less than 24-hours is ineligible for refund, unless event is cancelled by Girl Gotta Hike, due to dangerous conditions or any other reason.
